Assistant Manager, IT

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify system problems, allocate resources, and implement solutions within corporate guidelines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Study requirements, design network plans, estimate costs, obtain approvals, schedule implementation, and gather end-user feedback to deliver optimal service.
  • Analyze needs, design plans, estimate costs, obtain approvals, schedule, and implement server and PC updates, and provide recommendations for virus-free environments.
  • Study requirements, plan, estimate costs, obtain approvals, schedule implementation, monitor call durations and external calls for accurate billing information.
  • Design training programs, conduct seminars, and gather feedback to reduce human errors in system usage.
  • Obtain price lists, create purchase orders, ensure accurate item purchases, coordinate delivery and installation, manage payments, update fixed asset records, and generate reports for top management.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly hardware checks, maintain backups, monitor data, and voice links, and coordinate with external providers for smooth communication.
  • Research web updates, attend workshops, gather information from IT companies, identify software/hardware solutions, collaborate with teams, and implement new technology to stay updated.
  • Complete daily weekly and monthly sheet related to the attached BU

Person Specifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.

 

Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar may be preferred or beneficial.

 

 

  • Proficiency in assessing and managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with IT project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry-specific IT requirements and trends is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

 

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT consulting, IT infrastructure management, or a related field.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects.
