Kitchen Stewarding Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen stewarding team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Schedule staff shifts and allocate daily responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations, utensils, and equipment, are maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor cleaning schedules and procedures to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen tools, ensuring sufficient stock levels and proper storage.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of necessary materials and supplies.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations and procedures, and ensure compliance within the kitchen stewarding team.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe work environment.
Person Specifications
- Proven experience in kitchen stewarding or a related role in a hospitality environment, typically 5-8 years,
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations in foodservice.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for record keeping and inventory management.
