Assistant Manager, Front Office

Job Responsibilities

* Supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards.Reviews key room operation reports and ensures accuracy.
* Has basic knowledge of all related departments (Housekeeping, Laundry, Recreation, Front Desk, etc.).
* Ensures equipment is working and reports issues promptly.Makes sure staff have proper uniforms and supplies.
* Understands night audit procedures and other key reports.Follows all policies and procedures.
* Communicates expectations clearly and handles staff concerns.
* Prepares staff schedules based on business needs and monitors attendance.
* Assists with setting goals, budgets, and departmental plans.Monitors team performance, appearance, and training needs.
* Ensures team members are knowledgeable about hotel services and local area.
* Maintains good communication with all departments.Monitors staffing levels and supports recruitment, training, and development.
* Supports revenue goals through room sales, upselling, and rate accuracy.
* Manages expenses and supports financial targets.
* Promotes a strong sales culture within the team.
* Ensures guest satisfaction through feedback handling and service improvements.
* Supports guest recognition programs and loyalty initiatives.
* Acts as a role model for excellent guest service.
* Handles guest complaints effectively and escalates when needed.
* Reviews guest feedback and drives continuous improvement.
* Ensures smooth daily operations, including staff scheduling.
* Responds to social media feedback and maintains high response rates.
* Follows Cinnamon brand standards.Complies with BCP, GDPR, and emergency procedures.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a role in the hospitality industry is required.
  • A bachelor's degree or a diploma qualification in hospitality management, hotel management, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Possess a pleasant personality with strong problem-solving skills, capacity to read situations and ability to respond accordingly.
  • Computer literacy
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written in English.
  • Experience with Opera Cloud is a definite advantage.
