Director, Security

Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement an overall security strategy for the property.

Oversee physical safety and security of the organization facilities/property, guests, employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors.

Create, implement, and communicate security policies and procedures.

Handle overall security operation of the hotel ensuring safety of guest, staff & hotel property.

Ensure that security personnel adhere to brand standards & standard operating procedures of the property.

Report to the management on security risks and improvements on a regular basis.

Implement security standards to ensure all items such as food, beverages, gas, diesel, chemicals, electrical items are physically checked at the receiving bay.

Ensure legal procedures are followed for the lost items of the guests, hotel & staff.

Develop the security team by carrying out monthly training programs on security related matters (firefighting, normal law, vigilance) and ensure their knowledge on security aspects are current and updated.

Regular monitoring of CCTV unit & other security related devices and update the management on any suspicious moments and risks.

Prepare plans for crisis management, workplace violence prevention, and disaster preparedness. Maintain close corporation and coordination with law enforcement agencies (Police), Tri Forces, crisis responders, and local authorities and be updated regarding the security situation in the country and share with Hotel Management and staff.

Person Specifications

Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree is preferred. 

Minimum of 8 years' working experience with at least 4 years' of experience at managerial level or officer level in armed forces/civil defense.

Possess sound understanding of security operations.

Knowledge of safety and security best practices.

Excellent communication skills in English Language.

Ability to acknowledge and respond to guests and colleagues on any query.
