Purchasing Executive
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Maintain and manage relationships with existing suppliers, including performance evaluations.
- Execute the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while adhering to quality standards.
- Oversee the receipt of goods and services, verifying quantity and quality.
- Inspect received items for damage or defects and address discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Coordinate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate records and proper storage.
- Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Person Specifications
Eligibility requirements:
- A bachelor's degree / diploma or professional qualification in business, supply chain or stores management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, SAP system with a proven track record of leadership and success.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Good IT literacy.
