Purchasing Executive

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors. 
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers. 
  • Maintain and manage relationships with existing suppliers, including performance evaluations. 
  • Execute the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance. 
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while adhering to quality standards. 
  • Oversee the receipt of goods and services, verifying quantity and quality. 
  • Inspect received items for damage or defects and address discrepancies. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages. 
  • Coordinate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate records and proper storage. 
  • Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements. 

Person Specifications

Eligibility requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree / diploma or professional qualification in business, supply chain or stores management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, SAP system with a proven track record of leadership and success.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Good IT literacy.
