Assistant Manager, Event Sales
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop sales strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of event sales related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders), including market analysis and target segments.
- Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
- Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials).
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, including corporate clients, event planners, and organizations.
- Respond to inquiries, conduct site visits, and maintain ongoing communication with clients.
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing efforts.
- Close sales and secure event bookings, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and objectives.
- Follow all resort policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, protect resort assets.
- Provide expert guidance, recommend event packages, and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Ensure accurate contract execution and adherence to policies.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless event execution.
Person Specifications
Eligibility Requirements
- Progressive experience of 2 to 3 years in Sales & Marketing management position with a five-star hotel, preferably two years at a similar position.
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Hospitality Management from a recognized university. Else, any other similar professional qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
