Assistant Manager, Sustainability and Compliance

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the organization's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and values.
  • Identify key sustainability priorities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of sustainability initiatives and action plans across the organization.
  • Monitor and track progress towards sustainability goals and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and social regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit sustainability reports to regulatory bodies and stakeholders, such as investors and customers. 
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace. 
  • Providing HSE training to employees and promoting a culture of safety. 
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and best practices. 

Person Specifications

  • A bachelor's degree / Higher National Diploma in a relevant field such as Occupational Health & safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management or Hospitality Management.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a star class hotel.
  • Certifications related to health & safety, environmental management and sustainability.
  • Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
