Assistant Manager, Sustainability and Compliance
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the organization's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and values.
- Identify key sustainability priorities and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the implementation of sustainability initiatives and action plans across the organization.
- Monitor and track progress towards sustainability goals and targets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and social regulations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit sustainability reports to regulatory bodies and stakeholders, such as investors and customers.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Providing HSE training to employees and promoting a culture of safety.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Person Specifications
- A bachelor's degree / Higher National Diploma in a relevant field such as Occupational Health & safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management or Hospitality Management.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a star class hotel.
- Certifications related to health & safety, environmental management and sustainability.
- Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
