Job Responsibilities
This pivotal role is responsible for formulating the overall IT strategy in alignment with the Group's business objectives, ensuring seamless integration with John Keells Group IT policies and procedures. As the lead for IT governance and innovation, you will collaborate closely with operational IT teams to execute tactical plans, oversee large-scale IT projects, and ensure service excellence through the adoption of emerging technologies. The role also entails managing IT support services at the head office, upgrading cybersecurity frameworks, driving business process re-engineering, and delivering continuous process improvements to enhance system performance and user experience. A critical part of this role includes budget management, project execution, change management, and ensuring alignment between IT capabilities and evolving business needs.
Person Specifications
Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, along with significant leadership experience in strategic IT management. Proven ability to align IT strategy with business goals, and deep familiarity with IT governance frameworks, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and audit processes is essential. You should have strong expertise in managing complex IT projects, from initiation to closure, with robust planning, budgeting, and vendor coordination capabilities. A solid grounding in cybersecurity principles, infrastructure management (networks, servers, communication systems), and systems analysis and implementation is crucial. Candidates should also bring skills in contract negotiation, vendor management, and financial forecasting. Demonstrated experience in change management, business process transformation, and team leadership is vital, as is a forward-thinking mindset to identify and integrate next-gen technology solutions in a dynamic hospitality environment.
