Indian Chef
Job Responsibilities
• Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings and promote them.
• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
• Oversee the work of subordinates.
• Prepare tasty and authentic Indian dishes, Indian fusion cuisine using the right ingredients.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen team and comply with company procedures and food safety policies.
• Maintain accurate production levels to minimize food cost variance.
• Works in all areas of food preparation, as and when directed.
• Monitor stock and place orders.
Person Specifications
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Degree in Culinary science or related certificate.
Sound knowledge and skills in preparation of north Indian cuisine
Knowledge of south Indian cuisines
Ability to manage a team and their work schedules.
Should be familiar with industry's best practices.
Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
Hands-on execution, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
