Executive Chef

Job Responsibilities

The Executive Chef will create and inspire the culinary vision and strategic direction of the culinary department to ensure that food quality is consistently high and exceeds our guest's expectations.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Effectively plan and develop menus for the hotel considering food trends, food cost, guest expectations, and business volume.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets to assist the division in exceeding Food and Beverage financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure all equipment in the kitchen is adequately maintained and in working order, following standards operating procedures.
  • Interact with and observe guests' satisfaction trends and evaluate and address issues to improve the quality of service.
  • Interview, recruit, and train culinary team members on supervisory skills, food presentation, and preparation methods.

Person Specifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of Executive chef experience in a luxury five-star hotel environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong supervisory and communication skills.
  • Passion for developing culinary teams and driving innovation.
  • Understanding of the latest culinary trends.
  • Ability to provide an excellent guest experience.
