Executive Quality Assurance

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

•Conducting microbiological tests on raw material and packing material according to a sample plan; Conducting microbiological tests on finished products (ice cream, milk) according to a sample plan; Conduct microbiological tests on competitor samples every 3 months to ensure that all raw material and finished products meet required regulatory standards.

•Conducts periodic sample tests (as per sample plan) on plant and personnel; Identifies areas which need to be improved as per standards; Communicates same with action plans to relevant management; Reports on discrepancies to ensure the specified standards are met in factory premises and with those working with products.

•Identifies chemical requirements from production; Prepares chemicals as per the standards to be used in the production of ice cream and soft drinks.

•Scheduling shifts and work arrangement, leave and OT Non-Executive and Fixed term Contract staff. Maintaining labour costs (labour hours & OT) within budgets.

•Process control & improvement.

Person Specifications

Required qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science/ Bio Science or Agriculture with at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.  Preferably 1 years’ experience in Quality Assurance in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
