The Colombo Ice Company (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
CICL owns the most modernized Ice Cream manufacturing plant in the South Asian Region.
Job Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance - Electrical aspects of Utility/Production equipment:
•Responsible for the Electrical and Electronic aspects of all utility and production equipment of CICL; Successful execution of electrical installation to make sure reliability and safety of the systems.
Involve in project planning stage to implementation and completion:
•Communicate with relevant stakeholders and develop realistic project timelines, project budgets and define specifications. Make sure all aspects related to project management are within the standards and specifications of the organization. Safety and legal requirements to be monitored and comply trough out the project period. Involve in design, prepare RFP call tender or quotations, evaluations of received proposals, contractual works, approvals, execution and project handing over to the end user. Develop necessary documents and systems and get input from relevant stakeholders.
Energy Utilization:
•Assist in ensuring accurate records are maintained, and energy monitoring data is collected regularly, liaising with and providing technical support to mechanical/electrical design engineers on new and refurbishment projects regarding sustainability and energy.
Administration & Process Compliance:
•Maintaining SAP records, administration of on time system; Handling administrative matters relating to labour, interacting with external equipment and services suppliers and ensuring minimum downtime in order to ensure all administrative tasks of the unit are handled efficiently and accurately. Support key decision making in all ISO standers 22000, 9001, 45001,14001 and compliance.
Person Specifications
•BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with 1- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Understanding the Critical Processes involved in Electrical/Electronic aspects of utility/production equipment in a manufacturing environment. Project Management and execution.
•Leadership, interpersonal skills, problem solving, negotiating skills, decision making & problem solving.
