Executive Premises Maintenance Engineer

The Colombo Ice Company (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
CICL owns the most modernized Ice Cream manufacturing plant in the South Asian Region.
Job Responsibilities
Premises Maintenance & Projects
•Responsible for building maintenance activities and infrastructure facility maintenance activities (road network, storm water drains, water & sewerage distribution system, etc.). This includes all maintenance work of the CICL manufacturing site. Responsible for the preparation of maintenance estimates, checking, and approval for contractor offers and related engineering payments of building and infrastructure maintenance projects in line with the CICL buying procedure. Ensure that all payments from the Premises department are made in line with CICL guidelines.
Planning & Budgeting
•Annul budget forecasting for capital expenditure projects and routing maintenance activities. This includes new investments, investments for refurbishment & routing maintenance of buildings and infrastructure facilities in CICL site.
Health & Safety
•Responsible for the design, maintenance, and operation of buildings and infrastructure facilities to ensure safety, health, and environmental aspects in line with CICL SHE guidelines and local government legislations. Ensure that Plant Engineers and Engineering contractors are adequately trained in health, Safety, and the environment according to CICL standards, and that all engineering work carried out by them is fully compliant with these standards.
Managing Contract Services
•Ensure manage contractual services (plant operations and maintenance activities) of the Engineering department in line with CICL contract management guidelines and local legislation.
Documentation
• Responsible for the management of Engineering as-built drawings of Awissavella site, ensuring the keeping of updated records, necessary revisions, and guiding plant engineers for the updating of existing drawings. Management of the drawing office for record keeping.
Person Specifications
•BSc or TTI/NDT in Civil Engineering Experience with BSc - 2-4 years in a similar capacity or with TTI/NDT 4-5 years in a similar capacity.
•Prior experience in the FMCG sector will be considered a distinct advantage.
