Mechanical Engineer-Project

Job Responsibilities

Project Executions:

•Focus on the Ice Cream manufacturing process including Incoming raw materials, Processing, Production storage, and distribution including machinery, infrastructure, and relevant services.

Operations & Planning:

•Preparations of operational and capital budgets together with the logistics team. Studying current work methodologies, operations and implementation of improved and efficient ways of managing current and future requirements in logistics.

Factory Upgrades:

•Involve in project planning stage to implementation and completion. Communicate with relevant stakeholders and develop realistic project timelines, project budgets and define specifications. Make sure all aspects related to project management are within the standards and specifications of the organization. Safety and legal requirements to be monitored and comply trough out the project period. Involve in design, prepare RFP call tender or quotations, evaluations of received proposals, contractual works, approvals, execution and project handing over to the end user. Develop necessary documents and systems and get input from relevant stakeholders.

Expansions:

•Provides all technical support, calling for tenders, buildings, new equipment, recruitment of technical staff in order to give the finished product at the correct time.

Plant Efficiency:

•Assisting with technical factory issues; Liaising with outside consultants for technical repairs when necessary; Maintaining cordial relationships with vendors and suppliers of technical equipment used by the factory; Keeping up to date with the latest technological breakthroughs pertaining to the industry; Advising management of same at appropriate times in order to maintain plant efficiency.

Manage Audits & Maintain ISO requirements:

•Create vendor awareness by structured programmes; Assist in vendor audits; Analise audit results; Understand areas of improvement; Draw up plans for improvements; implement plans in order to ensure a meaningful audit process is implemented. Responsible for maintaining applicable ISO requirements related to QMS, FSMS, EMS & OHSMS in respective areas.            

Person Specifications

•BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University with 1-2 years of experience, preferably project handling in the FMCG industry.                                                       

•Thorough understanding and hands-on experience in analytical and operations. Good working knowledge of all projects related to Mechanical engineering and project management experience.
