Assistant Manager – Finance
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company seeks for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager- Finance. He/ She will be responsible for the financial planning function of the Elephant House and the position will be based in Kaduwela.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare interim/annual financial statements, support group reporting, month-end SAP closures, and coordinate audit timelines.
- Ensure accurate expense postings, review GL accounts, monitor balance sheet, and address Forestpin and deposit alerts.
- Manage fixed asset records, conduct verifications, handle disposals, and ensure timely project updates and asset capitalization.
- Handle income tax, VAT, and excise duty compliance; support the Tax Department with documentation and statutory returns.
- Oversee inventory verifications, ensure provisions for obsolete stock, and review insurance coverage for assets and inventory.
Person Specifications
- Member of a Professional Accounting Body (CA or ACCA) with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Applicants must be under 40 years of age for this position.
