The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager – Learning & Development – New Projects – Consumer Foods Sector. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end learning initiatives that strengthen the capability of employees across the new projects which come under Consumer Foods Sector. The role focuses on building leadership capability, operational excellence, and service culture across all outlet’s operations through structured learning interventions.
The position works closely with HR Business Partners, Operations Leadership, and outlet Managers to identify capability gaps, implement targeted development programs, and ensure consistent learning experiences across all locations. The role also plays a key part in enabling leadership development, onboarding effectiveness, operational training standards, and talent readiness to support business growth and performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with HR and Operations leadership to implement the Business Unit’s learning and capability development strategy aligned with the sector L&D framework.
- Identify capability gaps across operational units and design targeted learning interventions to support service excellence, operational efficiency, and leadership capability.
- Design and deliver structured training programs for Crew, Shift Leaders, Operational Managers, and support teams using blended learning approaches.
- Facilitate leadership and behavioral development programs focusing on people management, customer experience, operational excellence, safety, and compliance.
- Establish and maintain standardized onboarding and operational training programs to ensure consistent learning practices across all locations.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future operational leaders.
- Collaborate with HRBPs, Operations teams, and external learning partners to implement capability-building initiatives and promote a strong learning culture.
- Monitor training effectiveness through learning analytics, preparing L&D reports, managing the L&D budget, and continuously improve learning programs to support business performance.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience with proven capability in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development roles.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, Foods, or multi-site operations is highly preferred. Pre-opening experience would be an added advantage.
- Strong experience in training design, facilitation, and leadership development programs.
- Experience in operational training and frontline capability building is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning methodologies.
- Ability to work closely with operational leaders and influence capability development.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure learning effectiveness.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-location business environments.
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
