Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Engineering. The position exists to provide engineering assistance to the assigned Ice cream production within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of achieving the targeted volumes, line productivity, unit cost of production, and quality at the required time.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring the production processes and suggesting adjustments to the schedules as needed.
- Monitoring product standards ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed in order to meet the budgeted plant efficiency levels.
- Identifies areas of improvement in the plant maintenance programmed based on the best practices in the industry and suggests the same to seniors.
- Emphasises on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Analyses data and makes recommendations for improving plant operations in order to minimize losses created by plant breakdowns.
- Managing the equipment’s and materials that come into the plant, Ensuring safe and appropriate storage.
- Conducting an inventory register in order to ensure the efficiency of equipment and material management.
Person Specifications
- Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/ Process/ Electrical or equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing industry.
- Business Understanding in importance of productivity, cost efficiency and product quality. Priventive maintanance, TPM, LEAN.
- Sound knowledge in Plant maintenance and scheduling, Manpower planning, Statistical process control and quality parameters.
- Operational organizing skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, decision taking & problem-solving skills, ability to work during shifts, negotiation skills.
