Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Marketing & Sales Operations - Emerging Categories. The position exists to assist in planning & implementing marketing & sales strategies / activities to ensure Emerging Categories' market demands are properly identified and catered on time & in full, targets are met by ensuring the special beverages-related requirements are ideally met.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze sales volumes across assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with sales targets and business objectives.
- Track and enhance key Retail Development (RD) KPIs to support execution excellence, visibility, and in-store performance.
- Support the identification and execution of opportunities to expand distribution across existing and new outlets, improving numeric and weighted distribution.
- Develop, maintain, and supply accurate performance reports on key sales KPIs to aid in the planning and execution of sales incentive programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product innovation and the execution of the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of the NPD roadmap, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to meet launch deadlines and commercial goals.
- Coordinate operational aspects of product launches, ensuring readiness across supply chain, sales teams, and retail partners.
- Support the management of the digital marketing funnel by aligning sales operations efforts with lead generation and conversion activities.
- Liaise with digital marketing and other external agencies to ensure seamless integration of campaign efforts with sales and operational priorities.
- Ensure effective use of the A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budget to drive sales and improve market share. Align marketing and sales activities to achieve maximum ROI on promotional spending.
Person Specifications
- Degree in Management or equivalent (CIMA / CIM) with at least 1-2 years’ experience in Marketing, Operations and Business Analysis, preferably in FMCG industry. Proficient in MS Office set up, specially MS Excel.
- Sound business understanding in order to implement brand & sales strategies as well as understanding of Sales, Distribution processes and consumer behaviors.
- Strong Analytical knowledge, FMCG marketing and selling trends, competitive marketing & selling strategies.
