Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

 

The company is seeking an ideal candidate to fill the position of Manager - Talent Acquisition – Consumer Foods Sector at John Keells Group to lead and drive the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy across Foods Sector, ensuring the attraction, engagement, and hiring of high-quality talent aligned with business growth objectives. The role will focus on building a future-ready recruitment function, leveraging advanced sourcing platforms, strengthening employer branding, and delivering best-in-class candidate experience across all levels. This role will directly report to Head of HR- Consumer Foods Sector, John Keells Group. The position is primarily based in Colombo, with travel required across business units on a need basis.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end talent acquisition strategies aligned with business and workforce plans.
  • Lead workforce planning in collaboration with business leaders across functions and geographies.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for critical and leadership roles.
  • Design and implement innovative talent attraction and employer branding strategies.
  • Leverage digital platforms and data-driven approaches to attract diverse talent.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of recruitment systems (ATS) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Utilize recruitment analytics and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver hiring plans in a complex, multicultural environment.
  • Manage relationships with headhunters, agencies, universities, and talent communities.
  • Ensure efficient recruitment processes and deliver a high-quality candidate experience while supporting leadership hiring.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Professional Qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA / MSc in HRM / Organizational Development) will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Formal training or certifications in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Strategy, or Workforce Planning.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience along with 3-5 years of Managerial level in talent acquisition, preferably within FMCG, Multinationals or similar fast-paced industries.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale and complex hiring mandates across functions and levels.
  • Strong expertise in modern recruitment technologies and digital sourcing platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in talent attraction, employer branding, and workforce planning.
  • Experience working with diversified organizations and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong network with headhunters, industry professionals, and academic institutions.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
