Production Executive

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor PET blow molding operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while ensuring optimum machine utilization, product quality, and compliance with safety standards. Monitor process parameters, minimize downtime and rejects, and optimize productivity to achieve budgeted operational efficiency. 

• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance activities for PET blow molding equipment. Monitor machine health, mould performance, and utility systems to minimize breakdowns and maximize equipment availability. Analyze failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure PET bottles comply with customer specifications and quality standards through effective process control, SPC monitoring, in-process inspections, and defect reduction initiatives. Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve first-pass yield.

• Plan and manage manpower allocation, casual labour deployment, overtime utilization, and operator productivity to achieve production objectives while maintaining labour costs within budget. Develop team competencies and maintain discipline and shift efficiency.

• Monitor the efficient utilization of PET preforms, packaging materials, consumables, and spare parts. Minimize material waste, control inventory, and support cost reduction initiatives to improve operational profitability.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (QMS, FSMS, EMS, OHSMS). Implement GMP and 5S practices and fulfil responsibilities under the Emergency Response Plan to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in PET blow molding operations.

• Strong knowledge of production efficiency, product quality management, health and safety regulations, operational cost control, and preventive maintenance practices, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve key manufacturing performance indicators.

• Candidate should possess knowledge in PET blow molding process control and optimization, PET bottle manufacturing technology and production systems, machine troubleshooting and root cause analysis, production planning, scheduling, and manpower allocation, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production KPI management, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management techniques, preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance principles, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies, Occupational Health, Safety, Food Safety, GMP, and quality compliance standards, cost control, waste reduction, and resource optimization, and inventory management and production documentation systems.

• Candidate should possess strong operational planning and organizational skills, leadership and team management skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, decision-making and problem-solving abilities, analytical and performance monitoring skills, ability to manage casual labour and overtime efficiently, people management skills, coaching, training, and team development capabilities, ability to work under pressure and manage shift operations, cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills, computer literacy and proficiency in ERP/MIS reporting systems, and adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement.
