Senior Executive – Legal
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Senior Executive – Legal. The position exists to entail legal and notarial functions and ensure the Consumer Foods Sector functions within the defined legal and ethical standards in achieving its business goals. This vacancy is a Fixed Term Contract.
Job Responsibilities
- Drafting / reviewing all types of commercial contracts and related documentation.
- Initiate/support the business to ensure that the business operates in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating /assisting in litigation related matters as and when required.
- Handle conveyancing and notarial work, including carrying out title searches, drafting and attesting of title deeds and documents.
Person Specifications
- Be an Attorney at Law and Notary Public with a license to practice in Colombo.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
- Have adequate knowledge and working experience in the above mentioned areas with a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ post qualifying experience.
- Broad understanding of the financial & legal behavior of the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge in legal framework applicable to Consumer Foods Sector business operations.
- Decision Taking & Problem-Solving Skills, negotiation skills, Initiative and follow through policies, work under pressure, Excellent communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Other professional qualification(s) would be considered as an added advantage.
