Senior Executive – Quality Assurance
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Senior Executive – Quality Assurance. The position exists to carry out microbiological & chemical examinations for soft drinks, ice cream, milk and raw materials within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of ensuring the products meet required standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct IPCs to ensure FGs Quality.
- Conducts periodic sample tests (as per sample plan) on plants and personnel.
- Identify areas which need to be improved on as per standards.
- Communicates same with action plans to relevant management.
- Reports on discrepancies in order to ensure the specified standards are met on factory premises and with those working with products. GHP, GHP auditing.
- Releases of FGs ensuring the quality & regulatory compliances.
- Identifies chemical requirements from production.
- Prepares chemicals as per the standards in order to be used in the production of ice cream and soft drinks.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/ Bio Science or Agriculture with at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably 1 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
- Business understanding in Food and beverage Manufacturing & Quality Assurance Systems; Global Industry trends in the FMCG Industry.
- Manufacturing Consumer Food Products and related Food Technology, Total Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Methodology, Food Standards and related regulatory requirements, Food safety awareness & implementation. Industrial Relations Legislation, Environment, Health and Safety legislation.
- Understanding and requirement fulfillment of Quality Management systems, Food safety management system, Occupational Health and Safety management system, Environmental Safety Management System, Energy Management System, Good Manufacturing Process and PRP, CCP, OPRP.
