Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Senior Executive - Regulatory Affairs. This position exists to maintain compliance with food regulatory requirements and to maintain food safety and quality of products offered by CCS through implementation of international and local standards, with the objective of CCS being fully compliant with all food regulations and certified to the relevant international and local standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain functional relationships with MoH, SLSI, CAA and SL Customs for necessary approvals, feedback and trouble shooting
- Compliance check of RMPM, product labels and advertising materials of ice cream and soft drinks for both local and international markets.
- Compliance check of both local and overseas production operations.
- Periodic quality and food safety audits of post-mix operations and support such audits of RMPM suppliers to report findings to senior management along with recommendations in order to ensure the quality of finished products.
- Continual improvement of food safety management system through identification of new trends and requirements, check applicability of the same to business, development and implementation of same in order to ensure the latest relevant food safety systems are in place.
Person Specifications
- Degree in Food Science, Bio Science/Agriculture with at least 3-5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment. Preferably with ISO lead auditor qualification and 3 years’ experience in Quality/Food Safety Systems Management.
- Business Understanding in Food & beverage Manufacturing, Quality Systems and standards, Regulatory requirements of local and international markets.
- Manufacturing Consumer Food Products and related Food Technology, food standards and related regulatory requirements.
- Understanding and requirement fulfillment of Quality Management systems, Food safety management system, Occupational Health and Safety management system, Environmental Safety Management System, Energy Management System, Good Manufacturing Process and PRP, CCP, OPRP.
