Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive Engineering, based at the Ittapana (Mathugama) Manufacturing Facility. The position exists to assist in carrying out preventive maintenance and minimizing breakdowns across all production and utility operations of the factory. The role is responsible for maintaining production and utility equipment in compliance with statutory and organizational guidelines, with the objective of ensuring uninterrupted production operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Performed troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure reliable operation, quickly resolve breakdowns, and minimize production downtime.
- Performed preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule to identify potential issues early, improve equipment reliability, and minimize unplanned downtime, ensuring smooth factory operations.
- Maintained accurate maintenance records for all preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. Reported technical issues to the Supervisor promptly to ensure timely troubleshooting, corrective actions, and minimal equipment downtime.
- Identification & execution of process improvements with regards to quality improvement, cost & time saving.
Person Specifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University with 2-3 years experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Understanding the Critical Processes involved in preventive maintenance in aspects of Production equipment in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Understanding preventive maintenance aspects of utility equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and boilers) would be an added advantage.
- Hand on Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Skills in planning and controlling, organizing skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership and motivational skills, Ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements. Self Initiation and independent decision making. Time management and prirotizing. Hand on experiance machine Troubleshooting.
