Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive – Engineering. The position exists to perform technical process improvements of the manufacturing line, perform machine maintenance within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of effective process management & maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate the current factory operations and its processes; perform regular machine maintenance, filtration system maintenance, come up with ideas for factory upgrades; conduct feasibility studies; evaluate options; advice on viability of different options; educate management on new technical areas in order to upgrade the factory operations and increase production.
- Assisting with process issues; liaising with outside consultants for technical repairs when necessary; maintaining cordial relationships with vendors and suppliers of technical equipment used by the factory; keeping up to date with the latest technological breakthroughs pertaining to the industry to maintain plant efficiency.
Person Specifications
- Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification with 1-2 years’ experience in a FMCG Company.
- Knowledge of the water bottling techniques within the full process and related machinery, process improvement
- Knowledge and strong understanding of modern technologies related to manufacturing.
- Manufacturing Consumer Food Products and related Food Technology, Process mapping, specifications of engineering processes, Health and Safety legislation, continuous improvement methodologies.
- Interpersonal skills, motivational skills, Analytical; Innovative; Communication; Adaptability; Negotiation; Decision Taking and problem Solving; Attention to detail.
