Assistant Manager - Operational Excellence
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager- Operational Excellence. The position exists to Coordinate SAP based Preventive Maintenance in both condition base and Time base maintenance, implement practices of continuous improvements and world class manufacturing, implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and KAIZENS in both the factories and roll out of Operational Excellence WITHIN statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective OF ensuring OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and technical delay targets of each production line.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure optimum level of implementation of SAP based preventive maintenance and minimize breakdowns for utility & production equipment of SDF/ICF, logistics, Essence factory, Management of Engineering spare parts and eliminate stoppages due to non-availability of critical spares.
- Support the Department Leadership team in creating an environment where work teams and individuals are positively motivated to engage in Operational Excellence tools such as 5S/TPM/KAIZENS.
- Setting up of circle teams, training the teams on specific tolls and coordinating meetings and various core group meetings in related to problem solving.
- Facilitate/ coordinate structured problem-solving activities with teams based on trigger points defined as part of the Continuous Improvement process.
Person Specifications
- BSc Engineering degree from a recognized University - 1-3 years’ experience in implementing, 5S/TPM/TQM/KAIZEN or any other operational excellence tools with Manufacturing environment would be an added advantage.
- Understanding the Critical Processes/mechanisms involved in utility & production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of Principles of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) based maintenance systems, analyzing equipment breakdowns, identifying KAIZENS to improve the efficiencies and losses in the machinery. Modern productivity improvement tools such as TPM/5S.
- Planning and control skills, organizing skills, communication skills, interpersonal relations, leadership and motivational skills, 'Quality' mind-set, Ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements. Self-Initiation and independent decision making. Time management and prioritizing.
