Finance Manager
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka and the manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice creams, is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as Manager – Finance based in Rananla Factory. This role is critical for overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory accounts, as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, treasury management, risk management, and process improvement, ensuring the company maintains strong financial practices and statutory reporting excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements in compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Preparation of the Annual budget and Re-forecasting budget.
- Oversee and control CAPEX budgets.
- Plan and manage cash flows and treasury operations.
- Implement strategies for efficient working capital management.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including banks, to negotiate favorable interest rates, exchange rates, and funding needs of the Company.
- Allocate financial resources effectively in line with business plans.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting financial transactions and advise management on tax
- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax filings, computations, and returns.
- Provide strategic financial insights and facilitate cross-functional communication.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and oversee internal and external audits.
- Drive process improvements in financial operations while maintaining compliance.
Person Specifications
- Membership in a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA) or a graduate degree in finance, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, in an FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of the financial operations within a manufacturing company.
- Proven experience in process management within both manufacturing and sales environments.
- Expertise in financial accounting, management planning, and taxation.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange management and statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and follow through on actions.
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
