Executive - Electrical Engineering
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Electrical Engineering. The position exists to assist in carrying out preventive maintenance and minimize breakdowns of electrical aspects of all production & utility operations of Soft Drinks Factory; maintenance of Electrical aspects in production & utility equipment of soft drinks Factories within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of ensuring that production can be carried out with no disruptions. The position is based in Mathugama.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the efficient management of plant electrical related functions and the impacted processes within the factory operation.
- Support continuous improvement journey, perform preventive & predictive machine maintenance activities effectively throughout the factory system.
- Assisting with process issues; liaising with outside consultants for technical repairs when necessary; maintaining cordial relationships with vendors and suppliers of technical equipment used by the factory; keeping up to date with the latest technological breakthroughs pertaining to the industry to maintain plant efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain all technical documentation (including manuals, system information etc.) and assure the continuous updating of them
Person Specifications
- Degree/Diploma (Above NVQ level 5) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University with 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding the Critical Processes involved in preventive maintenance in Electrical/Electronic aspects of utility/production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Trouble shooting skills of utility and production equipment of electrical & Electronic in a manufacturing environment.
- Remote diagnostic processes, machine program including Programmable Logic Control (PLC) uploading skills. General Maintenance & upkeep in the factory environment, labour handling and overview of labour laws. Manual work delegating skills.
- Planning and controlling skills, organizing skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership and motivational skills, Ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements.
- Self-Initiation and independent decision making.
- Time management and prioritizing.
