Graphic Designer
The Colombo Ice Company Limited (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CICL is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company seeks for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Graphic Designer. He/ She will be responsible to establish an in-house artwork development center for our Consumer Food Sector. This role will be based at the Cinnamon Life Sector Head Office and will be responsible for creating high-quality graphical content for all business units.
Job Responsibilities
- Generate graphical work for approximately 200 artworks per month across the consumer food sector.
- Manage and expedite the artwork creation process, ensuring timely execution and market delivery.
- Maintain strong communication with all departments and stakeholders to understand their graphical needs and requirements.
- Develop and implement a queue system to manage workflow and job approvals, ensuring effective project tracking.
- Utilize high-end laptops, licensed software, and One Drive for storing completed and work-in-progress materials.
- Implement strict security protocols to protect intellectual property and prevent misuse.
- Report administratively to the Head of Marketing for the Frozen Confectionary business, with no hierarchical intervention allowed for job completion without sector president’s approval.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in graphic design, artwork development, or similar roles within the consumer food sector.
- Proficiency in high-end graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of digital content creation and design for various channels (e.g., social media, packaging, POS materials).
