Credit Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare regular accounts receivable, aging, and collection performance reports
• Manage and monitor customer credit accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
• Coordinate division wise debtor meetings with sales teams to review debtor updates and identify any collection issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and financial regulations
• Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies in collaboration with Sales and Finance teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records in the system
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
• Recommend corrective actions to reduce bad debts and improve cash flow
• Assess customer creditworthiness and set or review credit limits in line with company policies

Person Specifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance and/or part professional qualification in Accounting (AAT, CA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Prior experience as a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable Officer, or similar role
• Strong understanding of credit control procedures and AR processes
• Proficiency in MS office applications including MS Excel
• Exposure to SAP ERP system will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
