Associate Consultant - Information Security & IT Compliance

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and assess IT policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure they remain compliant, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Support the development and delivery of security awareness programs and campaigns to foster a culture of security best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to embed compliance controls within system development and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) by monitoring data usage, reviewing data handling processes, maintaining records, and ensuring adherence to privacy regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide support to the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Coordinator for JMSL by maintaining BCP documentation, assisting in the coordination of BCP drills, liaising with departments to assess readiness, and contributing to disaster recovery planning initiatives.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification or training in audit, compliance, or a related area is an added advantage.
  • 1–2 years of work experience in a similar capacity or completion of a relevant internship in Information Security, IT Compliance, or Cybersecurity.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong follow-up capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and consistency.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest trends and regulations in information security and data privacy.
