Duty Manager - Collection Center (Keppetipola)

What you need to do
- Oversee the collection, sorting and grading of vegetables and fruits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers, farmers and transporters to ensure timely delivery of produce.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, tracking stock and implementing efficient storage practices.
- Supervise and provide guidance to staff members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and productivity goals.
- Train new employees on proper handling, sorting and storage techniques.
- Collaborate with the center manager to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Handle farmer inquiries, complaints and requests, aiming to provide an excellent service.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, invoices and other relevant documents.
What we are looking for
- A Graduate or Diploma holder in Agriculture or Business Management
- Minimum 03 - 04 years' work experience in a similar role, preferably in the agriculture or food industry.
- Experience in logistics will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of vegetable and fruit varieties, quality standards and handling procedures.
- Knowledge regarding the internal and external environment of the industry.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and software (desirable).
