Executive - Food Redistribution

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and assess the current percentage of food donations executed across Keells stores.
• Work closely with the Service Assurance Team and relevant outlets to improve the quantity of food donations.
• Analyze daily donation numbers against stores, cluster and overall wastage data.
• Set and monitor daily targets for redistributing non-sellable but consumable produce.
• Identify product ranges and SKUs eligible for donation in compliance with organizational policies and practices.
• Initiate, trial, and implement innovative initiatives to improve food redistribution processes.
• Monitor and track progress daily, addressing concerns and driving continuous improvements.
• Identify redistribution challenges by product, outlet and cluster and implement improvements based on wastage data.
• Achieve quarterly and annual food redistribution targets aligned with declared wastage levels.
• Conduct pilot executions at selected outlets and evaluate outcomes using a Plan Do Review approach before scaling across all outlets.
• Develop best practice guidelines and generate daily and weekly compliance reports.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including the Fresh Team, Marketing Team and Finance Team.

Person Specifications

• Degree in Business Management or a Professional Qualification related to Fresh Produce Management.
• Knowledge of fresh produce handling, storage, quality assurance and food safety guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in store operations or a related field.
• Strong focus on achieving assigned KPIs.
• High level of process compliance and operational discipline.
• Self-motivated individual with strong integrity and accountability.
