Executive - International Logistics

Job Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations on freight rates with service providers to ensure cost-effective shipping solutions and smooth coordination of all shipments and clearances.
• Liaise with relevant government bodies and regulatory authorities such as Sri Lanka Customs, Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), and Sri Lanka Ports Authority to obtain necessary approvals and ensure proper documentation.
• Track and update the real-time status of all ongoing shipments, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and proactive issue resolution.
• Process and manage payments for all local vendors, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions in compliance with company procedures.
• Ensure accurate, up to date documentation of all shipping and logistics-related activities for internal tracking and audit purposes.

Person Specifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; prior experience in logistics will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong time management, planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhalese.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• A confident, outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
