Executive - Town Planner

What You Need to Do

• Review planning applications and approval documents to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
• Follow up on planning permissions and building regulations while coordinating with local authorities and relevant agencies to ensure timely approvals.
• Monitor building regulations, fire safety, and accessibility standards while staying up to date with planning legislation.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, amendments, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure planning compliance by providing expert advice on planning strategies and development constraints.
• Address queries from regulatory authorities and resolve compliance-related issues.
• Represent the company at planning committee meetings, public consultations, and hearings.

What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Town Planning from a reputed university.
• Chartered Membership of the Institute of Town Planners – Sri Lanka (ITPSL).
• More than 1 year of experience as a Town Planner in a government or private sector organization related to property development, construction, or a statutory body.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of design and construction drawings (AutoCAD), with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Knowledge of Revit, with the ability to handle, modify, and interpret 3D models, will be an added advantage.
• Proven ability in site supervision, project coordination, and efficient project management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop strategic solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
