IT Executive - Infrastructure & projects implementation

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of hardware, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, computers, and servers.
  • Set up networks, routers, and switches to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Provide hands-on technical support during store openings, ensuring full system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and on-site.
  • Offer real-time support for POS systems, cash registers, scanners, and other critical devices.
  • Conduct thorough testing of all IT systems prior to store openings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure backup and recovery systems are operational.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for timely equipment delivery and support.
  • Manage equipment replacements or service calls by working with technical support teams and vendors.
  • Ensure all equipment meets operational standards, arranging repairs or replacements as necessary to avoid store disruptions.

Person Specifications

  • Completed Diploma in Network Administration and Computer Hardware & Maintenance, or NVQ Level 4 qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' work experience in a similar field.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong follow-up capabilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
