Senior Executive - Private Label- Food

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify product requirements across various categories and related product variants.
  • Source products from suppliers both locally and internationally, ensuring the best possible price.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for backward integration with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with category managers to select relevant products for the private label range.
  • Evaluate product pricing and margins to ensure alignment with category requirements.
  • Assess product quality based on sensory parameters to meet or exceed benchmarked standards.
  • Analyze product feasibility and anticipate market performance.
  • Negotiate costs, MOQs and terms with suppliers to optimize product pricing and terms.
  • Ensure private label prices remain competitive while maintaining the required margin gap compared to other brands.

Person Specifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Marketing, or a related field, or a suitable Professional Qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CIM).
  • Minimum two years’  work experience, preferably in the FMCG or retail industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and driving cost-effective solutions.
