Job Responsibilities
- Communicate, coordinate, and follow up on all import shipments to ensure on-time delivery within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate and organize required documentation to ensure smooth customs clearance of shipments.
- Perform pre- and post-shipment documentation checks and follow up on necessary government approvals.
- Coordinate and process local vendor payments related to freight, clearance, and labeling/stickers.
- Liaise with government and regulatory authorities, including Sri Lanka Customs, Sri Lanka Standards Institution, and Sri Lanka Ports Authority, to obtain approvals and complete required documentation, including physical visits when necessary.
- Maintain accurate soft and hard copies of all shipping-related documents and ensure proper archiving.
- Ensure real-time updating of shipment records and tracking systems.
Person Specifications
- Undegraguate Qualification or Diploma in Logistics and Supply chain Maanagment.
- Prior experience in logistics or supply chain operations will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong time managment,planning and organizational skills.
- Good Communication skills in English and sinhlala.
- Strong Inter- personal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to collobrate and work with stakeholders.
