Keells Food Products PLC, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH), is the country’s market leader in processed meat products and has held this position for over three decades. Our company possesses ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System Certifications. The Company manufactures a range of sausages, meatballs, hams, crumbed products, and soya range products under the “Elephant House” and “Keells Krest” brands.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance (ISO 45001:2018) through proactive risk assessments, safety training, and implementing safety policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize productivity.
- Champion sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote eco-friendly practices.
- Timely updating the sustainability system data. Analyze sustainability data variations and communicating to the relevant officers.
- Implementing and maintaining the EMS in both factories (ISO 14001: 2015)
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, manage waste reduction efforts, and promote resource conservation strategies to align with our green goals.
- Implementing and maintaining the EnMS system in both factories (ISO 50001:2018)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate best practices in safety, operations, Environment management and sustainability.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Operations Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in health and Safety management, Environment management, Energy management, process optimization, and sustainability practices.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
