Junior Executive - Purchasing

The Company manufactures a range of sausages, meatballs, hams, crumbed products and other food products categories & solutions under the “Elephant House” and “Keells Krest” brands.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring stock levels (raw materials, packing materials, engineering items, and consumables)
- Creating purchase orders for raw materials, packing materials, engineering items, and consumables
- Conducting supplier negotiations.
- Supporting supplier development.
- Coordinating import and export procedures, including documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Handling import-related payments and liaising with banks and finance teams.
- Ensuring timely follow-up on shipments, clearing processes, and supplier communications.
Person Specifications
- A bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. (an added advantage)
- Good knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience in handling import payments and coordination with financial institutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
