The Job


The person will be responsible to perform tasks involving working capital management, assist in financial statement preparation process and assist in fulfilling all external reporting requirements


Key Accountability:


  • Working Capital Management - Managing bank account balances on a daily basis and allocate funds for investments ensuring enough funds are maintained to meet company's day to day operating activities
  • Assist in finalizing investment back office functions: Completing investment back office related work by coordinating with investment front office and middle office to make sure whole investment process is completed withing given timelines.
  • Preparation of Monthly reconciliations - Completion of allocated bank and other G/L reconciliations accurately within the given time period to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
  • Assist in maintaining fixed asset register by updating acquisitions and disposals of fixed assets in a timely manner
  • Processing utility payments - Processing utility payments on a timely manner to ensure supply of services to head office and branches without any interruptions
  • Assist in Quarterly and Annual external reporting process by preparing disclosure notes, ensuring accuracy of information, liaising with outside parties to get relevant information to make sure all external reporting are done within given deadlines


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Management from a recognized university. (Part qualification in ICASL/ACCA/CIMA will be considered as well)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Audit firm or in Finance department of a reputed company
  • Previous work experience in the insurance industry would be an added advantage
  • Exposure to ERP systems and hands on experience in MS office packages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Knowledge on Accounting Standards and month end process
