Assistant Manager IT - Digital & Back Office Systems

The company’s business activities span the areas of Equity Brokerage and Financial Advisory. The company deals mostly with institutions both foreign and local as well as with high-net-worth individuals.

 

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for Digital and Back Office Systems to support our Stock Brokering IT team! This role involves managing core back-office systems, enhancing customer self-service solutions, integrating payment channels, and providing data insights. You’ll work closely with the IT team and business stakeholders to streamline operations, improve customer experiences and ensure compliance with relevant financial industry regulations.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Core and Back Office Systems Support
  • Implement and maintain core systems to support back-office operations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to enhance system functionality, drive process improvements and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist in developing and updating the Product Solutions System to support new product launches and modifications.

 

  • Customer Portal Development
  • Develop and support the Customer Portal to enable secure, self-service options for customers.
  • Drive the automation of customer requests, incorporating secure development practices to enhance service quality.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle to maintain secure, efficient and compliant solutions.

 

  • Payment Channel Integration
  • Implement and support digital payment channel integrations, facilitating the automation of premium collections.
  • Ensure all payment processes comply with applicable financial regulations.

 

  • Data Analytics & Dashboard Development
  • Use Power BI to create and maintain dashboards that deliver operational insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Generate and analyze data insights, supporting advanced analytics use cases and data pipeline requirements.
  • Utilize SQL for data management, reporting and to ensure accuracy in compliance with data governance standards.

 

  • Project Coordination
  • Define project requirements, timelines and coordinate resources to meet project objectives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and communicate project goals, ensuring they align with regulatory and operational standards.

 

  • Budget and Vendor Coordination
  • Assist in tracking budgets for back-office and digital systems, monitoring expenses for alignment with financial targets.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, manage contracts and ensure that vendors meet performance expectations.

 

  • Service and System Management
  • Act as a primary contact for resolving IT infrastructure and service-related issues.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize system processes, maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related IT degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in IT systems support or digital applications, ideally within financial services or stock brokering.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Software Engineering:
      • Understanding of secure development practices and lifecycle management.
      • Proficiency in C# and knowledge in .NET Core framework is essential
      • Knowledge in Cloud Hosting solutions is preferable
    • SQL: Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data management and reporting.
    • Power BI: Experience in creating dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial technology.
  • Project Coordination: Experience in supporting project timelines and requirement gathering.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong skills in data analysis, customer-focused issue resolution, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Vendor Coordination: Basic experience in managing vendors and budget tracking.
