DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

• Client Prospecting & Acquisition: Identifying and onboarding new clients to JKSB
• Client Advisory: Offering tailored investment advice to clients to meet their objectives.
• Trade Execution: Efficiently execute buy and sell orders on behalf of clients.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends and listed company performance.
• Risk Management: Assess client risk tolerance and conform to JKSB risk management guidelines.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to stock market regulations as well as the ethical & moral values of the John Keells Group

SKILLS:

• Strong Communication Skills: Good command of spoken & written English
• Financial Analytical Skills: Capacity to analyze market trends, economic data and company financials.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think “out of the box” and identify opportunities.
• Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in uncertainty and adapt to changing market conditions.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS (preferred but not essential):

• Registered Investment Advisor license from Securities & Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka
• Bachelors in Business /Finance/ Economics
• CIMA / CIM
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar sales role in Capital Markets, Banking, Finance, or Insurance
