Manager - Finance

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for day-to-day financial management of the company including accounts receivable, accounts payable, statutory liabilities, fund management.
• Ensuring all financial and management reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Lead the process of preparing the Annual Plans, Reforecasts, monthly financial reporting.
• Responsible for the Annual Financial Audits including Internal Audits.
• Developing internal procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Monitor day to day operational transactions of the Company to identify any non-compliances promptly.
• Attending to customer complaints.
• Ensure all stock market operational transactions are completed in a timely manner.
• Customer receipts and payments, bank reconciliations, debtor management, creditor management, etc.
• Liaising with SEC, CSE, CDS and FIU on operational matters.
• Provide leadership to Documentation and Account related services.
• Ensuring the updating of customer masters, opening of new CDS accounts, share transfers, corporate actions and all related services are carried out smoothly.  Developing internal procedures for same.
• Processing of monthly salaries, sales commissions, periodic STIs, skill bonuses and related services.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Qualified in ICASL / CIMA / ACCA / CMA
• Understanding the regulatory framework of the industry – SEC, CSE, FIU, FATCA rules, etc
• Knowledge on accounting standards and various tax laws both Sri Lankan and International
• Thorough knowledge in financial and management accounting, planning and taxation
• Broad understanding of Forex & Statutory / regulatory requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in managing and leading a team
