The Job

The Business / Project Analyst – Operations will act as the “control tower” for Group IT operations, providing visibility across service performance, budgets, risks, and KPIs while ensuring that escalations and decisions are supported by accurate, timely data and effective communications with necessary documentations. The incumbent will also contribute to defining, refining, and enforcing operating standards and reporting mechanisms that support Group IT’s strategic priorities such as Modernize the Core, Strengthen Cyber Resilience, Consolidate the Data Platform, and Build Agile IT Operations.

A key part of the role is to work closely with internal and external stakeholders including IT pillar heads, in collaboration with JKIT as the primary technology partner / other partners and Octave as the analytics arm, Sector ITs / HoBS to ensure cross-functional alignment, operational continuity, and continuous improvement in Group IT’s processes and service outcomes along with Strategic Objectives.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate Group IT operational performance, KPIs, and SLAs across sectors and subsidiaries.
  • Support the COO – Group IT in ensuring service delivery, issue escalation, and operational continuity.
  • Conduct business and IT requirement analysis to identify process improvements, automation, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain operational dashboards, standard operating procedures, and compliance tracking against governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO, PDPA).
  • Track and report audit observations, risk registers, and performance reviews to ensure adherence to standards. 
  • Effective follow up on Group IT Operations Meeting Minutes, its deliverables, To-Dos and respective documentations
  • Analyse and report on currently ongoing projects and its progress to the Group IT COO and do nessassary interventions / help with industry sectors / HoBS and relevant implementation partners to align deliveries to fullfill intended outcomes and delivery timelines.

 

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Group IT pillar heads, Sector HoBS and respective subsidiaries,  to ensure alignment of operations and transformation initiatives.
  • Track and report on Group IT strategic objectives such as Modernize the Core, Strengthen Cyber Resilience, Consolidate the Data Platform, and Build Agile IT Operations.
  • Facilitate communication, reporting, and knowledge sharing across business units and IT teams.
  • Prepare leadership presentations and act as the first escalation contact for operational issues requiring COO visibility.
  • Support governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional project reviews with consolidated insights and updates.

The Applicant should

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Project Management or Service Management will be an added advantage.
  • Have 6–7 years of experience in IT operations, business analysis, or project coordination roles.
  • Be familiar with IT service management and governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO, as well as relevant compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
