Cloud Delivery Lead - Octave: Data and Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence

Job Responsibilities;

• Manage delivery of technology projects in partnership with business, IT and analytics teams
• Plan, communicate and action implementation requests on data lake platform and maintain a feature backlog. Structure, problem solve and prioritize technical features within backlog.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate status meetings throughout the project life cycle (Development, testing and deployment)
• Identify new technology opportunities in the organizational value chain to ensure scale of platform consumption
• Drive continuous improvement of data platform
• Actively build trust-based relationships with business and technical leaders
• Actively facilitate development and stretch opportunities for team

Ideal candidate should;

• Bachelors qualifications in a quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering); post-graduate qualifications are a plus
• Exceptional people leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams
• Strong project management skills to lead delivery of multiple projects
• Successful track record of structuring and solving complex problems including developing, testing and deployment
• Demonstrated ability to develop trust-based relationships with business leaders
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with business and technical teams
• Strong skills to identify and pursue data capture opportunities across businesses
• Deep knowledge of big data engineering and related tools and technologies
• Ability to rapidly gain understanding of data ecosystems across businesses
• Demonstrated ability to drive governance standards across technical and business teams
• Strong analytical skills to balance costs and benefits to assess technology opportunities
• At least 6 years of relevant experience focusing on scoping, delivery and implementation of analytics or technology projects
• Strong knowledge of agile development methodology (agile certification is a plus)
• Understanding of SQL, Python and cloud platform development is required
• Azure or similar cloud technology certifications are highly desirable
