The Group Treasury function provides treasury related services for JKH and companies across the Group. Group Treasury is responsible for the monitoring of group-wide currency exposures, interest rate risk and coordinating with the relevant businesses to advice and recommend solutions to mitigate these exposures. We are also responsible for managing the short-term investment portfolio of JKH, fund management of the private provident funds, advising on investments across the Group, liaising with Banks to obtain banking facilities for the companies and negotiating terms on those facilities. The selected candidate will have exposure to many businesses across the Group as well as the opportunity to liaise and work closely with different Banks.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring the foreign exchange positions of the Group and managing the forex exposure.
- Liaising with Business Units on their forex requirements and negotiating with banks on exchange rates.
- Monitoring and management of the cash and investment portfolio of JKH and the Provident Funds; evaluating investment opportunities; and submission of proposals.
- Preparation and delivery of regular reports to senior management.
- Rollout of electronic banking platforms and initiating other treasury process improvements.
- Liaising with banks and processing formalities for administration of accounts.
- Scouting regulatory changes in financial markets and advise management of the implications.
Person Specifications
- A finance-related professional qualification (CIMA or CMA) or a degree in the areas of Finance, Economics, Banking or related areas.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange and fixed income markets.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and effective management of time to adhere to strict timelines.
- Skills in being organized, detail-oriented, analytical and passion for continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good negotiation skills.
- High level of professional etiquette.
