Parts Manager

Job Responsibilities
• Communicate with the manufacturer for the spare parts ordering process.
• Coordinate with workshop and dealer network representatives to ensure accurate demand is reflected in the spare parts order shared with the manufacturer.
• Establish competitive pricing strategy in various categories while generating sufficient profits and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Regularly review parts pricing to ensure business profitability and stock movement.
• Maintain a balanced inventory that meets the requirements of service department, body shop and dealer network.
• Establish individual spare parts inventory levels and optimize turnover.
• Identify and implement initiatives to optimize daily operational processes and systems for efficient transport and warehouse operation.
• Managing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations for the spare parts storage locations.
Person Specifications
• A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in spare parts pricing, logistics management (warehouse/distribution center), negotiating freight agreements and inventory management.
• Experience in developing and delivering optimized supply chain solutions.
• Experience in OEM HQ automotive aftersales operations, working in cross-functional teams for spare parts logistics, managing programs and developing processes.
• Real time problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a good working understanding of Sri Lanka Customs and freight forwarding.
• Working with dealers across different geographical locations and visiting when required.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
