The Job

 

The Project Manager/Analyst – Delivery is responsible for the end-to-end execution and continuous delivery of enterprise IT solutions across the John Keells Group. Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer – Group IT, the role ensures that every system delivered by the Solutions pillar transitions seamlessly into stable, well-governed, and high-performing operations that support business objectives.

 

This position goes beyond traditional project management. It combines delivery leadership, service continuity management in collaboration with Solutions pillar, and post-go-live ownership ensuring that implemented systems continue to deliver business value long after project completion.

 

The Project Manager/ Analyst will work closely with internal IT functions, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure disciplined execution, proactive risk management, and adherence to Group IT’s governance frameworks. This role will also champion continuous improvement, user adoption, and performance optimization of all systems transitioned into steady-state operations even after the project delivery is concluded with continuous support of Solutions pillar and related partners on finetunes of any deliveries and to assure smooth on-going system operations along with Solutions and Operations pillars.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects to ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery.
  • Manage dependencies within large transformation projects of Group IT based on its Strategic objetives. 
  • Take ownership of systems stability after go-live along with the Solutions pillar, ensuring smooth transition to operations.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve SLAs, incident resolution, and change management processes along with solutons pillar and related partners.
  • Manage end-user escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Track project budgets, OPEX/CAPEX implications, and post-go-live cost performance.
  • Manage vendor performance against delivery SLAs and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain risk and issue logs across project and operational phases, ensuring compliance with ISO, PDPA, ITIL, and Group IT policies.
  • Facilitate structured handover from project implementation to business-as-usual operations.
  • Lead training, adoption, and knowledge transfer activities during hypercare and transition phases.
  • Capture lessons learned and embed improvements into Group IT delivery methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of delivered solutions.

 

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between Group IT Delivery and business stakeholders for both project execution and post-implementation system delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal IT functions including Solutions, Cybersecurity, Governance, and Operations, as well as external vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Provide dashboards, steering committee packs, and operational performance updates.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to drive adoption, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements.
  • Work closely with governance, audit, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with Group IT Operations and JKIT to ensure system availability, stability, and performance.
  • Integrate feedback from business users into delivery processes for better operational outcomes.
  • Champion performance optimization of enterprise IT solutions post-go-live.

The Applicant should

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Project Management or Service Management will be an added advantage.
  • Have 6–8 years of experience in IT project management, with demonstrated exposure to both project execution and operational service delivery.
  • Possess a proven track record in managing large-scale enterprise IT systems post-implementation.
  • Hold professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL Service Management (strongly preferred).
  • Have prior experience working with ERP, CRM, Data Platform, or Cybersecurity systems (an advantage).
