Project Engineer (JC-5871)

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for project planning and execution of EHS improvements and sustainability projects (Energy / Water / Solid waste) in meeting project cost, timeline, scope etc.
• Preparations of capital budgets for supply chain, studying of current work methodologies, operations and implementation of improved and efficient ways of managing current and future requirements in logistics.
• Study the current factory, warehouse and its operations; Come up with ideas for factory upgrades; Conduct feasibility studies; Evaluate options; Advice on viability of different options; Educate management on new technical areas in order to upgrade the factory and increase production.
• Provides all technical support, calling for tenders, buildings, new equipment, recruitment of technical staff in order to deliver the finished product at the correct time.
• Analyze & evaluate new technologies, new acquisitions etc. related to organization.
• Assisting with technical factory issues.
• Liaising with outside consultants for technical repairs when necessary; maintain cordial relationships with vendors and suppliers of technical equipment used by the factory.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technological breakthroughs pertaining to the industry.
• Advising management of same at appropriate times in order to maintain plant efficiency.

Person Specifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical /Mechanical /Mechatronics /Production /Chemical & process) or equivalent with 2-3 years’ experience preferably Engineering project management in FMCG industry.
• Project Management (PMP or equivalent) qualification is preferred.
• Good analytical and people skills.
• Ability to train people and develop teams to drive certain business objectives.
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience in operations and good working knowledge of all project related software and project management experience.
• Sound knowledge in Manufacturing Consumer Food Products and related Food Technology, Total Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Methodology.
